Its lime green appearance contrast well with its golden frond stems. The amount of light they receive will dictate the tone of green the foliage will display, the greater the amount of light, the lighter green the foliage will become. Because of their dense growth habit, they are most commonly used as a screening option but also make a great stand-alone display when there is suitable space provided.   • For short term use indoors or outdoors Ficus Standard (ficus Emerald) Common name Topiary Tree – Lolly Pop Tree – Ball Ficus Description There is a long tradition of Topiary and among the most favoured plant varieties to be used is the Ficus, it can be trained to any form with the most popular being a ball formed atop a single trunk. Their most common use is to frame an entry point or along the aisle in a church for a wedding. They are also commonly used in short term hire at the front entrance of a house that is for sale. Due to their formal look they can be used for either period or modern designed houses. Size Medium, Large Light requirement full sun  
  • For short term use indoors or outdoors Ficus Rubber (Ficus elastica) Common name Rubber Tree Description This is another form of ficus. It has large, glossy, oval shaped foliage. In the right light conditions, they grow rapidly and can bush out especially if pruned. Caution must be taken with this plant as the sap can be an irritant, it produces a milky white latex separate from its sap which is carried and stored in different cells. This latex was formerly used to make rubber. Size Medium, Large Light requirement high -  full sun  
  • For short term use indoors or outdoors Ficus Lyrata (ficus Lyrata) Common name Fiddle Leaf Fig Description The Fricus Lyrata is a species of fig tree native to western Africa, in ideal situations it can grow to 12 metres. Despite being out of favour for many years they have made a dramatic return, so much so that they are very hard to find in a mature state. The distinct, dramatic foliage shaped like a small fiddle is lush and leathery. With the right conditions they are fast growing and can act as a fantastic feature option. It can be used to soften down external walk ways and can also be used in numbers to create barriers or delineate a pathway or specific area. They have deep green foliage and a mainly upright growth habit, though pruning is required to keep them in check. The use of fruit boxes has become very popular. The drooping branches of the ficus tree lend a sweeping character and the glossy, alternate leaves are solid green and thrive in full sun. A ficus exotica tree can reach varying heights.   • This plant is only to be used indoors Deremensis (dracaena deremensis warnekii) Common name Dero Description A great addition to the Dracaena family as it gives great variation with its white and grey striation down the length of its foliage which can be used to great affect if it is placed alongside deeper green leaf options especially in flox planter troughs. The version known as the Greenie has very dramatic lime green striations and is far more hearty that the usual variety. Size Small, Medium, Large Light requirement medium -  high
